The Start-up Blender is a discussion platform for students in Zurich to get to know the hottest startups, to discuss new start-up ideas and meet like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere.
This semester (Spring 2025) we meet every Monday at 18:00 in the Irchel Learning Center to hear discussions about at least three cool and interesting startups presented by students.
The way it works is that for each meetup at least three students prepare a talk (3-10min) about a startup they find cool to showcase it to other students. After each Discussions we discuss open questions such as why the startup should become big or not, what we think about it etc. At the end there is time for snacks and networking.
We then also post on the webpages of startups (redirections to external links) we discussed for others to see what was presented and to keep track of the discussions.

About
We are students from universities in Zurich (founder of this platform is at the ETH) who are interested in new and cool things :D
Moreover, experience showed us that it is not a bad idea researching about current hot startups to keep track of the current trends, new ideas and innovation as one can use analogies in different fields.
Since it is more fun to do such researching with other people and to blend these start-up ideas together, we decided to create this relaxed discussion meetups with small presentations.
Finally, since anybody regardless of a field can launch a start-up, we welcome any student (in Zurich) to join.
