Greed is good — but free beer is better. You are the mastermind behind the Free Beer Game, HSG's most sacred sporting tradition and quite possibly the best reason to own skates. You'll orchestrate team trips, après-hockey events, and post-game parties that become part of HSG folklore. Think of yourself as the Gordon Gekko of good times: ruthless efficiency in the service of a genuinely legendary evening. Venues, casks, guest lists — all yours.

The ability to turn ice into money is your superpower — and this is the most Wall Street role we have. You'll identify sponsors, walk into pitch meetings with the quiet confidence of Gordon Gekko entering a boardroom, negotiate deals, and build partnerships that fund the next championship run. Your sponsorship deck will be so compelling that Gekko himself will want to write a cheque. HSG finance students: this role has your name on it. Do I need to be good at hockey?

Absolutely not. We have players who had never laced up skates before joining us. Gordon Gekko himself probably couldn't skate, and look how far he got.

What does membership cost?

Membership fees are kept minimal. We'll share exact amounts in your welcome email. Equipment support is available for players who need it.

How many sessions per week?

We train twice a week during semester. Sessions are designed to fit around your academic schedule — because finance exams wait for no one.

What if I'm an exchange student?

Exchange students are fully welcome and a big part of what makes the Gekkos special. Short stays are fine — jump in for a semester.

Is the Free Beer Game really free?

Yes. Free. Beer. Game. Every semester. No catch. Show your HSG student card, get a beer, watch us play, cheer loud. It's that simple.
